KTM factory rider has launched his 2009 racing season in style with a convincing victory in the Tough One extreme hare scramble held this weekend in Oswestry, Wales.

The Polish rider who has in recent seasons made a name for himself in extreme events came home ahead of Tom Sagar and Wayne Braybrook who took the minor podium places. Blazusiak was runner up in the 2008 race.
Taddy was in fifth place after the Le Mans-style start and made it his business to work his way up to the leaders in the early part of the race. Riding his 250cc two-stroke KTM, Taddy then moved into the lead and rode an almost faultless remaining race to take the glory at the chequered flag just short of the two hour mark.

"The Tough One was the one extreme event missing from my resume, so I am really pleased to have won," Blazusiak told reporters after the race. "I had quite a good start but some of the bigger riders pushed me back so I wasn't at the front by the time we had run to our bikes. I was about fifth or sixth off the start. I knew I had to push hard for the full two hours if I was going to win and that's what I did."

Blazusiak rounded up a perfect day with a win in The Boulder Dash - a short sprint across an unforgiving section of rocks that allowed him to show the crowd his pallet of skills in extreme riding situations.
