EXTRAORDINARY!

PITT ON THE TRACK & CAIROLI OFF ROAD

Press release from Motonation

March 16th, 2009 –
After only 2 championship races, Australian Andrew Pitt on his Honda has taken a firm lead in the world standings in the Supersport class of motorcycle racing.  Thanks to two second places  - the first on his home circuit on Philip Island and than on Saturday, March 14th at Losail in Qatar - Pitt, 2008 Supersport World Champion, now leads the standings by 40 points. With Pitt on the track for the 2009 season there are the new Sidi Vortice boots, which guarantee maximum performance without sacrificing rider safety.

Meanwhile in off road, Tony Cairoli was back on the highest step on the podium with his inseparable Sidi Crossfire, the boots to beat on any terrain. On Sunday, at the circuit in Odolo (Brescia), the champion  from Sicily enjoyed a classy, powerful win in the last race in the MX1 Italian Cross Internationals Championships. Only four measly points, lost primarily due to misfortune in the first rounds, impeded Cairoli from capturing the Italian MX1 absolute title. The great results in the Italian Cross Internationals confirm Tony Cairoli and Sidi as serious contenders in the MX1 World Championships that will start on Sunday March 29th with the first challenge on the circuit in Faenza in Italy.
