Motion Pro T-6 Combo Levers: 2WheelTimes Baja Tested By Michael Hannas With the Motion Pro T-6 Combo Levers, there is no need to carry tire irons and something to get your axle nut on and off. When you pick the 12/13mm combo as your second lever, you also have the correct tool to loosen or tighten your rim lock. These are another one of the trail tools that Motion Pro makes that make your life so easy you end up using them in the garage as well. When you ride a 450 and go through rear tires enough that you end up changing them fairly regularly like I do, the simplicity of using the T-6 Combo Levers makes you want to use them every time. There is no digging out of different tools, then losing them and searching for the 12mm wrench on the ground, all the tools you need are right in your hands the whole time. The boys at Motion Pro have obviously changed a tire or two and have sculpted the ends of the levers perfectly to avoid tube pinches. On the large axle-sized combo levers, the end is the normal scoop design, while the 12/13mm combo has a small lip on the end that helps to grab the rim and not the tube when that is your desire. I can’t say the levers are pinch-proof, as I have been able to pinch a tube with them after getting my confidence up after a few easy pinch-free changes. But then again, I am usually about 50-50 when it comes to pinching one or not when changing them in my garage with my less than stellar tire changing set-up, and my average has definitely improved drastically while using the T-6 Combo Levers. For trail usage the Motion Pro T-6 Combo Levers are perfect because of their super light weight and multi-function performance. The fact that they make what is probably the most common trail-side repair a much easier affair makes them even more of an asset in my tool pack. They are the perfect size to fit nicely into a trail tool pack yet have enough leverage to get the job done, at least if you are using a tube. If you really need more leverage, you really need better technique. Motion Pro doesn’t recommend using them for Bibs or Tire Balls and I didn’t try, although it could probably be done with the proper technique, and lube of course. At $29.99 a piece they aren’t cheap, but once you use them once you will think they are well worth the admission price. If you need more convincing, just take your tire irons and whatever you need to remove your axle and a 12mm wrench and put them in one hand, then put the Motion Pro T-6 combo wrenches in your other hand. Deciding which one you want to carry on your back for miles on end was enough to have me sold before I even knew how much easier they made tire changing time. After numerous tire changes they have shown little sign of fatigue and are holding up impeccably, proving to be more durable than I could have imagined. The Motion Pro T-6 Combo Levers are probably my favorite tools in my tool pack because of their light weight and multi-function ability, in addition to how much easier they make tire changes for me. My only problem with them is the fact that I need a couple more sets so I can leave one in my tool pack, have one in my tool box for the track, and one set permanently at my tire changing station. I would definitely recommend the T-6 Combo Levers to anyone looking to make changing a tire on the trail almost a pleasant affair as well as lighten their load significantly.

The Motion Pro T-6 Combo Levers are one of those things that when you see them the first time you slap yourself and wonder why you never thought of that. The combination tire levers and wrenches are also one of those things you just have to have at first sight. With their lightweight forged aluminum construction and perfectly-sculpted tire iron on one side and a six-sided closed-end wrench in whatever size your axle happens to be on the other end, they are the perfect addition to your trail tool pack. When you combine two together, one in your rear axle size and one in either your front axle size or the popular 12/13mm combo size like I did, you have all the tools needed to change your tire in your hands. To take care of my front axle I just carry the 3/8”-drive adapter that fits in the 32mm axle wrench lever along with a 22mm socket and I am all set.
