The Motion Pro 3/8” Drive Adapter for their T-6 Combo Lever is another crafty invention from those crazy guys in Northern California that makes your life easier when working on your trail machine. This device plugs into the wrench end their T-6 Combo Lever to transform it into a mini breaker bar that accepts any 3/8” drive socket. It is another one of those things that you wonder why you never thought of.

Motion Pro’s high quality is apparent in the design of the 3/8” drive adapter with its blue anodized finish and top-notch construction. When added to your trail tool pack with the T-6 combo levers, you now have the ability to remove almost any nut or bolt you can get a socket on. When you have a front axle nut that doesn’t allow access with a large wrench, you can add Motion Pro’s 22mm 3/8” drive short socket to allow for front wheel removal. With this combination, I have all the tools to remove my front and rear wheels and tires in one piece.
It also becomes a pretty strong breaker bar in the case of some other trail repair. We’ve all seen or been the guy banging on his ratchet with a huge rock trying to break free whatever nut is resisting all attempts. The T-6 adapter combined with one of the T-6 levers makes this usually futile process unnecessary, since it can unleash up to 90 ft/lbs of torque if you are man enough.
My only complaint with the 3/8” drive adapter is that when I ordered it I thought from the way it looked for some reason that it was a ratcheting device. It is not. It is just knurled on the edges so that you could remove it from the T-6 combo lever once your bolt is loose and remove it the rest of the way by hand. Besides that one disappointment due to my unreasonable expectations and failure to read correctly before I placed my order, it is still a really trick tool that has become a permanent addition to my tool pack and has stood up well to all the abuse I have given it.
At $17.99 the Motion Pro 3/8” drive adapter isn’t cheap, and if you don’t already have the T-6 combo levers it is pretty much useless to you. If you do have the T-6 combo levers, it is pretty much mandatory, especially if you ride a KX or YZ and you want to have the best set-up for wheel changes. For anyone else with the T-6 combo levers, you are doing yourself a disservice by not having the 3/8” drive adapter. If you also carry sockets in all the sizes you need for your bike, you can ditch that heavy huge crescent wrench you carry for no reason, since your T-6 lever is now your ultimate breaker bar. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone with the T-6 combo levers as a perfect addition to make a sweet tool even better.
